Claquin - Hundreds of free photographs, particularly nature & scenery.

Dover Publications - Large selection of copyright-free image resources.

Gettyworks - Photos, illustrations & better than average clip-art. Membership available.

Havana Street - Excellent selection of retro b&w clipart and a few 'comic book' fonts.

Image Cafe - New-ish site with a rapidly growing collection of useable images.

Inertia - Member-submitted photos and illustrations. Good selection.

iStockphoto - At the moment my fave photo & illustration site. Buy credits and then download you images.

Kewlpack Software - Interface & Text actions for Photoshop, plus lots of free textures.

Mark's Fresh Flower Scans - Fabulous - the best flower images I've seen on the web.

Navworks - Great place for customizable interfaces. (Now Eyeland Studios at Eyewire.)

Picture Garden - Good collection of real-life textures, useful for all graphics applications.

Programs (Used in the creation of graphics & web pages)

Adobe - I use Image Ready (with Photoshop) every day for optimizing web graphics.

Corel - Home of former Metacreations products such as the brilliant KPT & Painter.

Jasc - Paint Shop Pro: the most user-friendly, best value paint program EVER!

Macromedia - Dreamweaver is my chosen web editing program.

Moon Software - Font Explorer is the best font organizer I've found, & used every day.

Filters & Plugins (Used to create special image effects)

Alien Skin Software - Eye Candy & Xenofex filters for use with most paint programs, & in most designer's toolboxes. Effects include Fur, Marble, Smoke, Fire & Wood.

Flaming Pear - BladePro must be one of the most used plugins. Download a demo of the new Super BladePro from the site, plus demo versions of several other filters.

The Plugin Site - Harold Heim's site offers own products such as Plugin Commander, a useful program for organizing filters, plus links to 100's of other filters & plugin sites.

Java Applets (Special programmes used in web pages to add a range of effects)

Anfy Java Applets - The easiest way to add Java Applets to your site.

Cool Focus - Both free & commercial Applets, particularly good menus & scrollers.
