Well, I never didi get to post more yesterday. We had a power-cut and total blackout so I went to bed. By total, I mean total - here in the country we don't have the luxury of street lights, so everything was pretty eerie.

The accountant trip went ok, except I always manage to think of several things I should have asked after I leave.

Tonight we went to the big fair which has been in town for the past week (plenty of lights there!) It's the largest fair in England and where all the fair-biz (?) people who have been at various places during the Summer meet up at the end of the season for a final 'big bang'
The thing I noticed most about this year was the food. Times gone by saw us eating pretty grim burgers/hot dogs etc. (sorry veggie people) and trying not to think what was in them. This year, the catering side was amazing: everything from succulently fresh roast beef to spicily good curries and several stylish-looking coffee bars with a big selection of flavours.
George won me a 'Cookie Monster' toy which is now sitting watching me type this (yes, I know he's not really.) Arty particularly enjoyed himself - It was really for his benefit we went as being the smallest, he sometimes misses out on the 'kid stuff' as we've been there, done that, and won the cuddly toy. Three times.

Tom's laptop arrived here today and I think he might come home tomorrow for it - he said so on the 'phone but I haven't told anyone else yet as I thik it'll be a nice surprise for them when they come home :)

I'm all done here for tonight so I'll see if I can upload this waffle - my connection's really bad again this week and I can only get online sporadically throughout the day and never at night. When I 'phone my ISP and complain, they offer amazing explanations such as "It's the weather."
Oh yeah, like a spot of rain can affect underground cables. Doh!
There again, I'm only a woman so wouldn't understand. Would I...

Food, Glorious Food...

We had a surprise visit from Tom who came home last night :) so I took them all out to a wonderful Italian Restaurant (fairly) near here.
We ate ourselves silly but had a great time catching up on each others news.

Today Daisy, George, Arty & I took him to the station to catch his train, then went shopping as Daisy needed some new gear. It took us an hour to get parked and then we couldn't find what we were looking for so went and had lunch instead.

We're having a big family lunch tomorrow for my dad's birthday. It'll be lovely to see everyone but I just feel I've done nothing but eat all weekend!

Gremlins in the works...

Haven't been able to connect much lately so hoping I can actually post this.

My pc on a go slow too - Arty's got some huge games loaded and everything else is taking a back seat. Think I'm gonna be a bitch and uninstall stuff tomorrow when he's at school. Wicked aren't I :)

Uploaded a new linkware set: Bite Me! and just finished a couple of Christmas ones which I'll put up soon.

Did a couple of 'tests' today, so here's one for you to try:

Which ArchAngel are you most like?

brought to you by Quizilla

Lucifer - see! told you I was baaaaaad. << Looks a little sheepish? :)

Oh isn't he gorgeous? Drooooooooooooooool...

Gremlins still in the works (and they've brought their friends)

Still not connecting well and not at all after midnight which is when I usually have a free moment to post here.

Why don't I change ISPs? Some of you have read about this before, but the abbreviated version for those who haven't is: My ISP/phone company have an area monopoly (not the game!) so absolutely no choice - it's this or nada.

OK, explanation over. Went shopping today with mum mum, Daisy & George and we all came home laden with goodies. Daisy got loads of stuff from FCUK, Diesel and Morgan, George is now a Tommy Hilfiger & FCUK guy, and I got a fab black burnt-out velvet long skirt & lace goth-style top plus a strappy black and autumn coloured beaded long dress from Morgan.
90% of my wardrobe is black and can look rather goth-y if I'm not careful. Quote read recently in a fashion mag: Goth after 30? Behave!
Seems like I've been misbehavin' for ten years :)
With my wacky clothes and red hair, I usually check with George (style guru extraordinaire) before venturing out of the house, that I don't look like Willow's (Buffy) mother (or even grandmother??) Nah, I'm not that old!

Must go - this connection will die in a min.
Have a great weekend y'all and see you soon :)

ps: Hi Tom if you're reading, and hope you're not (earth)quaking in your shoes.
Don't drink too much, eat properly, and go to bed at 9 :)

Posing...

Ordered Poser a couple of days ago and raring to start playing around with it although I desperately want to get my hands on Daz3d's Victoria character and all the other bargain ($1.99 Platinum Club) goodies I've ordered which are going to take around 3-4 weeks for international shipping :(
Consoling myself with visiting other Poser-related sites such as Renderosity and PoserPros which have opened up a big, new graphic world for me.
Surfing time will definitely increase once my connection improves, and no doubt the bills will mount up quickly too :)

Feeling a bit out of sorts as we all have a trip to the dentist tomorrow - I still can't shake off the feeling of impending doom I used to feel as a child before these visits.

Did you notice I finally got the tag-board scrollbar changed?
Wheehee!!!!!
