Shopped for George's birthday on Saturday. No big party,
just his friend Mattie staying. I like Mattie. He's cool.
George is pretty cool too - we're totally on the same wavelength.
He's a hippie at heart (like moi) and into loads of New Age
kinda stuff. We both go OTT with candles, incence burners
& crystals, love ethnic art & textiles, feng shui
& astrology. And believe in magic.
I like George. He's my buddy.

Another new[ish] look here - seems that when I can't get my
mind fixed on anything serious, I mess around here [wasting
time?]
Just chilled out today cos' yesterday was really action packed
starting with a trip to the hairdressers at 8.30 (boy! do I
resent giving up my lie-in on a Saturday.) Back home to pick
Daisy up & go into town to do some shopping as she wanted
to spend some birthday money.
We then met up with George and his friends at the cinema and
watched 'Panic Room' with Jodie Foster. Fairly good movie,
but some bits were (imho) gratuitously violent/bloody. Back
home where my brother and his family came round, then a quick
wash & change and out for tea to our fave American Diner.
Hideously slow service (The manager is totally useless - my
cats could run the joint better) but great food. Home, mindless
TV, then bath & bed. Slept like a babe. Bearing in mind
all these places are half hour drives in different directions,
I totalled over 100 miles today.
So, I zonked out this afternoon which made me feel guilty -
I hate napping in the daytime as I feel I'm wasting my life
away...

Yay! It's my mum's birthday today.
Didn't get to give her a birthday hug as she's cruising
round the Caribbean at the mo. (Oh what I wouldn't give
to swap places for a few days!) Instead, I did the next
best thing and.... went to the dentist again. I got my
tooth fixed with a shiny gold 'cap' so feel a little Long
John Silverish tonight (although it's right at the back
so I have to open real wide to show it off!) One more
trip on Thursday & hopefully it's all done. |

Has anyone in the UK been
watching 'Cutting It'??
I think it's been THE best new programme on tv for as
long as I can remember, so I was pretty down that the
first series ended tonight.
Can you believe that Allie went off with Finn instead
of staying with the gorgeous Gavin. Daisy and I are both
more than a little 'in lust' with him, so if you're reading
babe, we're here to pick up the pieces! |
