I am sooo confused with the days
at the moment. Bank holidays and the kids not being
at school have thrown me totally out of sinc.
I've been planning our day out tomorrow, to include
the dentist, miscellaneous jobs, and then lunch.
Only it's not tomorrow, it's on Thursday which I
thought was tomorrow. Get a new brain girl. |
|
| Being muddled anyway, I made things
more confusing by playing about with this Online
Anagram Generator. I used it to get the April
Fool/Pool Flair title yesterday. Just type in any
name/word/phrase etc. and you'll be inundated with
a huge selection of weird and wonderful anagrams.
I put in my name [Ali Foxton] and got 219 results,
tho' most of them are pretty useless - X
is not a good letter to have in there. Useful
for crosswords maybe? |

Aaaaarrrgh! I'm going totally mad here and getting sooooo
frustrated AND going to the dentist tomorrow (but that's another
post - be warned!) I've said it before and I'll say it again.
"There aren't enough hours in my day." I've got
four kids on holiday [top priority and the best thing going
at the moment - if I could I'd turn my pc off and spend all
my time with them.] Not a chance. Still working too many hours
a day on regular stuff, PLUS trying to get enough content
together to launch the new fun & funky site which is starting
to become very UN-fun indeed. I know whinging here won't help
[in fact everyone will think I'm just a miserable old[ish!]
s**] but at 3am I need to vent somewhere and here is where
I am, [bad English my only companion.] Ok. Deep breaths, calm
thoughts, count my blessings.
Throw something.
Better. See ya tomorrow with tales from the crypt
dentist.

Yup - you knew this was
coming.
The trip to the dentist went as expected. Everthing was
fine [well done kids, tho' I'll never get Arty converted
to Diet Coke now] until it came to my broken tooth
[makes me sound like a pirate huh?] Actually it's a back
one.
I had an old filling replaced recently which badly cracked
the tooth and it now needs capping.
|
Ok. I can cope with that:
the pain, the misspent couple of hours, the humiliation
of dribbling badly while trying to answer questions fired
at you like you're on some tv quiz show, and the embarrassment
of looking like a chipmunk for the rest of the day. [btw:
Isn't it weird how although you can see what you're
doing, without the sense of feeling it's really hard to
put lipstick on?]
That's all par for the course, but was then informed
that my Dental Insurance £15/$23 pm [!] doesn't
cover some of the work & I'll have to pay for the
privilege. Same story as the [old] car. I hate those *******
insurance companies that try to wriggle out of everything.
On a brighter note, I was asked by Sandra of Design
In Reflection to help judge the Photo
Impact Easter Competition which was fun.
The winning entry [my first choice too!] was a fabulously
sunny stained glass creation. Congratulations Rosie. Great
work! |

My first
Friday
Five - exciting or what!
I've been meaning to do this for ages but never got round
to it.
(And yeah, I do know it's Saturday!)
1.
What are the first things that you do in the morning to start
your day?
Grab a cup of tea, get washed, clean my teeth, check my
e-mail.
Then I'm just about able to talk to people.
2.
What are the last things that you do at night before going
to bed?
Grab a coffee, have a bath, clean my teeth, check my e-mail.
3.
What daily routine have you recently added to your day?
Looking after Minnie (the dog.)
4.
What routine do you wish you could get rid of?
Laundry. With up to four loads a day it's tiresome.
5. What's
the one thing that makes you feel like something is missing
if you don't do it some point within your day?
Check my e-mail!

Haven't done one of these for a while:
"I am one of the most popular
flavours in the world. Subtle and smooth, I go reasonably
with anyone, and rarely do anything to offend. I can be
expected to be blending in in society."
I think that means i'm boring...
