Wow! Still reeling after watching Eastenders this
evening. The car chase between Steve and Phil kept me on the
edge of my seat and i was exhausted when the programme ended!
I knew Martin Kemp was leaving, and that 'Steve' was being
'killed off' but the final scenes were still pretty shocking.
He's been a great addition to the show and i'll miss him.
[but no, i was never a great 'Spandau Ballet' fan.]

My eldest son Tom said that my '404 Not Found' page was one
of the most boring ones he'd seen [doesn't hold back does
he?!] so i made a new one. I've always loved Lewis Carroll's
Alice in Wonderland, so when i read a particular caption
to one of the Tenniel drawings in an early edition
copy of Alice, decided to use that. Hopefully you won't get
to see it too much[!] so follow this

Finished of next week's linkware
set [which i'll zip up and upload tomorrow,] and spent
some time on a new Groovy Lizard site design [v5]
which hopefully should be up sometime next week [but don't
hold your breath!]

I'm taking Minnie for her first injections
tomorrow. I hate doing that & feel so mean as you
can't explain a lot to an eight-week old puppy. She sulks
if you get cross with her, so she probably won't even
look at me 'til at least a week on Thursday! The plus
side is that she'll be able to go out in the garden afterwards
without picking up any nasty bugs [of the viral kind!]

Uploaded the linkware set of the week: Persian
Gold
It's fairly simple but the rich colours and textures are nice
and basically it's just pleasing to my eye. [I know i shouldn't
say that about my own work but it's a great feeling when something
'works' and you get the result you had in mind.]
Not the same story with the main site graphics - i'm really
struggling to get the file sizes down and have had to do a
lot of compromising on the design. It has to look good in
several different browsers and screen resolutions, AND be
fast loading, eye-catching and original. What works for one
set of scenarios garbles up in another. Something's going
to have to give somewhere...
On a brighter note, we went 'car hunting' today. My previous
one was 'written off' by someone in an accident and is totally
beyond repair. Can you actually believe i cried when i heard
this? [Well-after the accident in which no-one was hurt -
i'm not THAT callous!]
I wrote here last week about all the great times i've had
with that car and the kids, but times move on and it will
be lovely to drive a 'proper car' instead of a huge people
carrier, useful though it may be.
The waiting list for the car we want is over three
months, but there is an upgraded model which the guy at the
showroom is letting us have at almost the same deal, so we're
maybe going for a test-drive tomorrow. [To be on the safe
side, i think i'll just take it round their car park a couple
of times!]
btw: Minnie's injection went ok - she hardly batted an eyelid
and thoroughly enjoyed the trip out in the car, doing a pretty
good impression of a back-seat driver. Haha, Minnie Driver
- get it? ;)

haven't got everything configured properly and need some

I'm not happy about the css yet, but almost too tired to care!
Had a big sort out and move of all the blog files tonight
too, including adding a new links menu, so if you find a dead
end or broken link, "SORRY" and again let me know.

On a brighter note, we bought my new car today. Yipeeeeeee!
It's being delivered on Friday and i can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
