Aarggghh! More pc problems that make me want to throw it through
the window. Refusing to boot up properly, blue death screens,
crashing programmes and more. I really must get things sorted
out when the kids go back to school next week. I've spent
all today TRYING to get stuff backed up onto disc, but the
cd creator software is useless and causes everything to crash
more. That's NOT the pc's fault as it happens on every machine
i use it with. Maybe it's me. Nah.
Little Minnie has already become a BIG part of the family
and we can't imagine life without her. We thought she was
a calm, quiet little dog but boy, did we get that wrong. She's
the biggest tart of all times, just loving all the fuss she
gets and basking in adoration. I now know what they mean by
'It's a dog's life.'
Desperately seeking some light relief earlier, i made a little
animation to make myself smile tonight. All it does is annoy
me.

I love quotations whether they be witty, thought provoking
or inspirational. These are some of my favourite quotes by
women:
"Don't be afraid your life will
end; be afraid that it will never begin."
Grace Hansen
"Do not follow where the path may
lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."
Muriel Strode
"No one worth possessing can be
quite possessed"
Sara Teasdale
"The future belongs to those who
believe in the beauty of their dreams"
Eleanor Roosevelt
"Life isn't a matter of milestones
but of moments"
Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy
"Don't compromise yourself. You are
all you've got."
Janis Joplin
"A friend is one who knows all
about you and likes you anyway."
Christi Mary Warner
"The first problem for all of us, men
and women, is not to learn, but to unlearn."
Gloria Steinem
"No person is your friend who demands
your silence, or denies your right to grow."
Alice Walker
There is one sure way of telling
when politicians aren't telling the truth - their lips move."
Felicity Kendall

Drive you mad don't they.
If not, feel free to adopt one.

Ordinary day made not good because the kids went back to school
after the holiday. I HATE that - i wish they could stay here
all the time. It wouldn't be great for their education but
hey, this is my blog and I can be selfish here if i want!
Minnie missed them all terribly, and i had to try and finish
the weekly linkware set with just one hand - the other was
holding her on my knee so she didn't run off and chew anything
& everything she could find. Didn't get very far so it's
postponed 'til tomorrow (or the next day!) I DID manage to
do a little one-handed surfing and found this
great site with loads of totally original/brilliant/wacky
artwork, thanks to my friend Rose
who has been given permission to use some of Kimberly Schamber's
art on her site. Wow! I'd love one of her pieces.

Managed to get the weekly linkware set finished, and only
a day late!
It's a great contrast to last weeks wild & wacky 'Pablo-esque'
but they say a change is as good as a rest. Boy, could i do
with a rest. It's almost 3am here and i've been up since 7am
yesterday. At the moment this seems to be a typical day. Hope
i don't burn out!
Hopefully Spring
Song will make you think of warmer days to come.

Had a nice email today from a lady called Penny who's using
one of my linkware sets for her blog Life
after Birth. It's always really nice when people tell
me that they're using stuff as i love to see it in action
so to speak. ('tho very occasionally i wish they'd
used someone else's!!)
She's used the cat set from the mini
zoo series which has been soooo popular and i've seen
the about quite a bit. May make some more....

Just got in from seeing two thirds of
"Gosford Park" at the cinema. Why only
two thirds? I had to leave and pick Daisy up from school
at 10.30 [?!] as she'd been playing in a hockey tournament
'up north.'
What i saw of the film was great, and must surely be one
of the most star-packed [Brit] movies ever. |
| I only managed to see up to 'the murder'
and Stephen Fry's entrance, which was disappointing as
he's one of my fave performers. [Absolutely brilliant
in Oscar Wilde, a must-see film, but not while
the kids are about.] We went with some friends so i'll
be on the 'phone first thing in the morning to find out
'who dunnit.' |

I've been trying out a new site designs
today, but nothing quite worked. Infuriating as i'm usually
pretty vague about what i'm looking for until i play around
a bit and an idea gradually takes shape. It didn't. Might
have another go tomorrow or maybe leave it for a while
and hope that inspiration strikes. [Always a bad plan.]
